Journeyman Electrician – Travel Position (Colorado)

Position Summary

GMEA Electrical Services is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to support large-scale commercial and industrial electrical construction projects throughout Colorado and across the United States. This position is ideal for a motivated electrician who takes pride in quality workmanship, can lead by example in the field, and is capable of helping drive production while maintaining a positive team culture.

The successful candidate will work closely with Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Managers to execute projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial and industrial electrical systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and project specifications.
• Lead and mentor apprentices and less experienced electricians.
• Promote productivity and help motivate crews to achieve project goals.
• Coordinate daily activities with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen.
• Assist with manpower planning and task delegation in the field.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship.
• Identify and resolve field issues while keeping leadership informed.
• Support project schedules and production goals through proactive communication and planning.
• Travel as needed for projects throughout Colorado and nationwide.

Qualifications

• Active Journeyman Electrician license.
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical construction experience.
• Experience on large-scale projects such as distribution centers, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, retail developments, or similar commercial projects.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to positively influence crews.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with field leadership and project management teams.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and electrical plans.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.
