Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Manager to support our team.
You’ll support project planning, field operations, cost tracking, documentation, and communication between internal teams, vendors, and clients. This position requires 30% to project sites, client meetings, and job inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating electrical project activities.
- Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, drawings, and close-out documentation.
- Communicate with electricians, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and clients to support workflow and resolve issues.
- Conduct site visits (approx. 30% travel) to verify progress, gather field information, confirm material needs, and support quality control.
- Review electrical drawings, one-lines, specifications, and scope of work.
- Track labor, materials, delivery schedules, and project costs using Excel and project management software.
- Ensure NEC and local code compliance by coordinating inspections and required documentation.
- Maintain organized project files, logs, spreadsheets, and reports.
- Attend project meetings and document notes, action items, and follow-ups.
- Support administrative processes including invoicing, budgeting support, document routing, and internal communication.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Construction Management or a related technical field required
- 0–2 years of experience in electrical construction, project coordination, or related technical/engineering work (internships/research accepted).
- Tech savvy and highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data tracking, basic analysis).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret technical information.
- Ability to read or learn to read electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel up to 30% for jobsite visits and project support.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to adapt quickly, manage multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment.
